The 2024 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (WOPCU) runs from Thursday 18th to Thursday 25th January.
Jackie Bellfield, the Minister of the Methodist Churches in Hale, Altrincham, Timperley and Bowdon, has compiled this booklet which includes contributions from the various churches in Hale. "In this Week of Prayer for Christian Unity we pray for the Christian community of churches in this area and give thanks that the URC can play its part in spreading the Good News brought to us by Jesus Christ.
May we share with all we meet the peace and unconditional love of Christ – family, friends, neighbours, colleagues and strangers through our actions and not just our words and may all those who enter our space at the URC feel welcomed, loved and safe.
Altrincham URC Trinity Hale prays especially that we will be successful in finding a Church and Outreach Worker to work alongside us in furthering our missional aspirations in this local area.
Gracious and Loving God, we pray that you will help us to be faithful to Christ’s command that we love the Lord our God with all our heart and that we love and treat our neighbours as we ourselves would wish to be treated and loved. Amen"
