3rd ALTRINCHAM GUIDES at WOODLANDS TIMPERLEY

There are three new Guides who have come up from Brownies making 33 in total. The Guides have completed the Healthy Lifestyles badge and the Personal Safety badge which included a visit from the police. We had an open evening for parents so they could find out what guiding is all about and where we presented the Baden Powell Award to Rebecca and Katie. We have 4 more girls currently working towards the Baden Powell Award which they should complete very soon.

Recently, we held a hen party in honour of Kate Middleton before the Royal Wedding with cocktails and canapés. Other activities have included a BBQ at Ashley with outdoor fun and a campfire. In the coming weeks the Guides will be doing the usual patrol time and ‘Go for its’ including Flights of Fancy, Globalistic, Passion for Fashion to name but a few and they will be playing lots of rounders.

In the summer term we are hoping to do some outdoor cooking which is always a favourite and we are planning a camp for September. In June we are attending the County Fun Day at Ashley called ‘Jungle Fever’.
